Our housing options are available for singles, couples, sole parents, families and unrelated adults on low to moderate incomes, who may find it difficult to afford housing in the private rental market. It aims to relieve rental stress and to support households that have the potential for income growth or home ownership in the medium-term.
Affordable Housing is designed to address the gap in the market between Public Housing (also known as ‘social housing’) and the private housing market. It is there to relieve the rental stress of key workers who do not earn enough to pay market rent in the area in which they work, but earn too much to qualify for Public Housing. Affordable Housing is intended to meet medium and long-term housing needs. The eligibility of Affordable Housing tenants is reassessed on an annual basis.
Venture does not provide short term or crisis accommodation.
Venture has 10 head-leased Seniors’ units at Parap. These units are very popular and vacancies are rare. Tenants must meet specific requirements set by the Department of Housing and Community Development (Territory Housing).
Venture does not accept unsolicited applications for the Seniors’ units.
