The Hon. Natasha Fyles Chief Minister of the NT and Hon. Eva Lawler, Minister for Infrastructure, planning and Logistics yesterday announced the establishment of a Northern Territory Housing Alliance. Hon. Eva Lawler said, “The expertise that the Northern Territory Housing Alliance will bring will allow us to create more streamlined process to create a more streamlined process for both brownfield and underdeveloped lots.”

This initiative brings together the expertise and experience of industry leaders to ensure that the NT has the right policies and incentives in place to allow for accelerated land release, with the goal of making the Territory the easiest place in Australia to build and buy a home.

Venture Housing Board Chair Allan McGill has been named as the Northern Territory Housing Alliance Chair and is committed to maximising future economic opportunities for the benefit of Territorians “I am honoured to be taking on the role as Chair of the Northern Territory’s first ever Housing Alliance. Myself, and when the rest of the board is established, will work together to advise government on any blockages and what changes can be made to create faster blocks being turned on and homes built.”
