Roland Chin

Roland Chin, Audit & Risk Committee Chair

As a proud 3rd generation Territorian, Roland has spent his entire professional life as an accountant and business advisor in public practice based in Darwin. He was a former Partner of KPMG Darwin until his retirement in December 2018 and he continues in public practice as a principal providing business advisory and tax agent services. Roland was invited by the Board to join the Audit and Risk Committee on 28 March 2019 and was appointed as Chair on 27 May 2020. Learn more

Jason Dawson, Chief Financial Officer

Jason joined the Venture team as Chief Financial Officer in May 2023, after moving from Alice Springs to Darwin. As a proud Territorian of nearly 30 years, Jason has spent his time in the NT working across a range of industries including big 4 accounting services of tax and audit, hospitality, indigenous not-for-profit, travel and tourism and brings a wealth of knowledge on various organisational matters to our business. He is a Member of the Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand (CA), has master’s degree in business administration (MBA) is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Alex Gibson, Company Secretary

Alex is the Company Secretary of Venture Housing. Prior to working in housing, Alex worked as a lawyer for over 15 years, beginning her career in commercial litigation in Melbourne. After moving to the Northern Territory in 2012, she specialised in native title and Aboriginal land rights whilst working with the Northern Land Council. Alex has previous experience in residential tenancies and has developed a broad knowledge of issues relating to remote communities and land tenure in the Northern Territory. Learn more

Venture Housing works closely with all levels of Government, private developers, other housing providers and non-Government organisations that provide other services including seniors, disability and mental health support to give our tenants assistance and access to homes they can be proud of. 
We also contribute to Australian and Northern Territory housing policy to ensure the needs and voices of affordable housing tenants are heard. 

Strong collaborative partnerships enable Venture to advocate for and deliver best practice Affordable Housing solutions. Venture is one of only two approved NRAS providers in the Northern Territory.
