Venture CEO Karen Walsh presents at the REINT International Women's Day Luncheon

On Monday, Venture CEO Karen Walsh GAICD joined fellow NT Women of Influence Sarah Sharkey, Managing Partner, Sharkey Law Conveyancing and Ruth Palmer, Executive Director, Property Council of Australia to present at REINT's International Women's Day 2024 lunch celebration.

Karen's presentation focused on this year's theme 'Invest in women: Accelerate progress” with an emphasis on the importance of adaptive leadership to effectively respond to a dynamic and uncertain environment, especially in addressing the housing and homelessness crisis in the NT and across Australia.

Karen discussed the need to grow and build emerging leaders and 'leading with courage', recognising that the community services and Community Housing sectors are female-dominated workforces, with the majority of our tenants being women. 'As professionals, we will achieve greater social and economic impact if we work with passion and purpose, and ultimately our tenants will be able to reach for, and achieve their aspirations'.
